In January 2024 promoter Frank James formed a sister company to his weekly brand, Five Lakes Wrestling. The North American Wrestling League, was designed to hold ad hoc events throughout the year, in a variety of cities and with differing themes. This would allow him to promote shows beyond the the reach of the Great Lakes region, as well the opportunity to host tournaments and one off shows with wrestlers both inside and outside the existing Five Lakes roster. Much like 5LW, all matches are aired via an online streaming service.
The Outline
The NAWL will be a series of ad hoc events with varying themes and concepts. Other than the shared fictional owner (Frank James) it’s not in anyway connected to 5LW, so people in and out of that fed can sign up to these events, which will be done via Google Docs to prevent the rigmarole of filling out an application form. However, all Cards, Results and Title Histories will all be done via the boards.
